The Edo State Board for Technical and Vocational Education is a government agency established to oversee and regulate technical and vocational education in Edo State. Since our inception, we have been committed to promoting technical and vocational skills development among the youth and adults in the state.

Function of MDA

  • To manage Technical and Vocational Colleges/Centres in the State.
  • To ensure that all policies on Technical and Vocational Education formulated by the Edo State Ministry of Education are fully implemented by the Board.
  • To ensure that courses of instructions given in the Technical Colleges/Vocational Centers conform with the State Policy on Technical/Vocational Education and satisfy the prescribed requirements and standards.
  • To supervise all the Vocational subjects in the Vocational Department and provision of equipment and materials to sustain the program.
  • To appoint, promote, transfer, discipline, and implement other conditions of service and emoluments for all categories of staff of the Edo State Board and Technical and Vocational Colleges/Centres as applicable in other arms of the Public Service of the State.
  • To acquire equipment, materials, furniture and other properties required for the purpose of the Board and to maintain any premises forming part of the Board.
  • To engage in such other ventures/activities that are capable of boosting the revenue of the Technical Colleges and Vocational Centres.
